Drudge Throws “Reagan Derby” Poll Results Down The Memory Hole

After last night’s Republican debate the Drudge Report had a poll up asking readers to pick their winners. The results were startling. Though Mitt Romney came in first with 35% and Giuliani second with 20%, there was a surprising third place winner. That Third place winner was Ron Paul. he came in third place at 17% (before I went to sleep last night I believe he was even up to 19%). McCain, Huckabee, Brownback and everyone else didn’t break even 6% of the votes.

What is even more startling is that poll has been removed from the Drudge Report along with any mention of the debate. Is Drudge afraid of telling readers that Ron Paul is now a viable candidate? Do they hope that by ignoring him he’ll just go away?

  1. The fact that Ron Paul has internet Poll spammers is news?

  2. If that were indeed the case, yes it would be. And are you trying to say that ONLY Ron Paul has poll spammers? Are you saying that all the other candidates are “too good” to hire poll spammers? Are you saying that McCain, Huckabee, Tancredo and Brownback’s poll spammers fell down on the job? Did Paul’s people sabotage all the other candidates’ internet connections to prevent them from poll spamming to the best of their abilities?
The way I see it, this is news either way. And the Drudge Report failing to have ANY coverage of the Republican debates on their page today (with the exception of posting last night’s news network ratings) is seriously suspect. How come they took every notice down about the debates for over eight hours today?

  3. Here was Fox News poll results after debate, and their process does not permit more than one vote per ISP. The same for MSN as well. This fact destroys the “conspiracy theory” of Ron Paul spammers, as if Mitt has not had plenty of artificial help. Read it and weep…Americans want a revolutionary change, and reject neoconservatism, as well as “Big Government” republicans who want to increased Federal Fascism under the guise of Homeland Security. Thinking Americans are waking up to the complicity of the lies and propaganda through Big Media, especially Fox.

    Fox News Poll Results

    Mitt Romney: 29%
    Ron Paul: 25%
    Rudy Giuliani: 19%
    Mike Huckabee: 8%
    Duncan Hunter: 5%
    John McCain: 4%
    Tom Tancredo: 3%
    Jim Gilmore: 0%
    Tommy Thompson: 0%
